How the numbers are calculated
Electric desk: ~120 kg CO₂e embedded (motor, transformer, control box, frame, top) × desks + 50% extra for 1 replacement within years + operating (~0.12 kg CO₂e/desk/yr at Danish grid mix 120 g/kWh).
2WFX motorless desk: ~85 kg CO₂e embedded (Constant Force Spring mechanism, no electronics, FSC oak top) × desks. Zero operating. Expected lifetime 15-25+ years.

Important caveat: Numbers are estimates based on industry EPDs and literature. No public EPD exists yet for the 2WFX frame specifically; EN 15804+A2 EPD certification via EPD Danmark is in progress. Use the report as decision support, not final documentation.

Woody
Silent height adjustment from 670 to 1080 mm. No motors, no cables, no batteries. FSC-certified Danish oak top, oil-rubbed.

Same engineering as Organic H, smaller floor footprint. For high-density layouts where every square metre is specified.

Why 2WFX motorless desks
Three reasons for the lower CO₂ footprint.
1. No motor
Constant Force Spring mechanism instead of an electric motor. Result: no transformer, no control box, no cables, no electronics to fail. Fewer components = lower embedded CO₂.
2. 3x longer lifetime
Electric desks are typically replaced every 8-12 years when motor/controllers fail. Motorless mechanism lasts 15-25+ years. Over a 20-year horizon: 2 electric vs 1 manual = half the production.
3. Danish manufacturing + FSC-certified
Certified Chain of Custody by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC® C131960, valid through Sep 2026). Oak tops are FSC-certified from Danish forests. Pursuing EN 15804+A2 EPD certification via EPD Danmark - planned completion 2026.
